Jareerat's story

Jareerat is a married local woman who lives with her parents, husband, brother, and children in a Khmer community of Surin Province, Northeast Thailand. Her family earns a living by operating a grocery store and raising animals such as cows.

Jareerat has applied for a Kiva loan to invest in her grocery store and the business has been running well so far that it is capable to generate income sufficiently for spending in her family. During this period, she needs to earn more money to pay for the education of her children. Then, she applied once again for the Kiva loan to purchase shelves and other products for selling in her grocery store.

The loan will enable her to expand and run the business smoothly as well as assist the female entrepreneur. In the future, she desires to open an online store and provide a good life for her family.
