This group, San Blas, was formed when friends and neighbors from the city of Pilar joined together. They seek the way to be able to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in their 22nd loan cycle in the women's committee program.
Felipa is one of them. She is married and the mother of two children, both adults, whom she got ahead with great effort and sacrifice. She works making and selling sheets, quilts and towels.
She states that she began in her living room with just one machine. Today, she has a small shop in her house where she has 3 industrial machines. She works together with the women of her committee. Felipa's dream is to someday expand her shop to offer jobs to more women.
She asks for this loan to be able to purchase fabric in bulk because she has several orders to fill.
Note: There is only one person in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group photo was not possible to prevent the gathering of people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
