A loan helped a member purchase fertilizer and thread.

Dúo La Providencia Group's story

Blanca Gricelda continues to be in charge of this group. She is a hard working woman whose family supports her unconditionally in her various small businesses. She is a weaver who employs women to weave traditional huipiles (blouses), she grows corn to sell on her property, 3 times a week she sells lunches in her neighborhood, and she just started planting tomatoes. Blanca dreams of planting a larger crop of tomatoes and having a bountiful harvest from which she can make a good profit, so as to help her husband give their children a hand and better opportunities. She needs to buy fertilizer for her plot, thread in bulk for the weaving work, and nylon nets to protect tomato seedlings. She doesn't have much money, however, which is why she is requesting a loan to buy what she needs and achieve her dreams.
