In 2017 I was diagnosed with lupus nephritis. My doctors noticed that lupus was aggressively attacking my kidneys. So, my doctor suggested I do chemotherapy treatment right away. During chemo I was searching for natural ways to help support my immune system to help prevent colds and infections. That is when I stumbled across elderberry. I found an elderberry syrup online. When I started this business I was very passionate about spreading the knowledge of natural healing to the body. After my lupus diagnosis and beginning chemotherapy to suppress my immune system I was taking over 10 different pills daily. I knew I needed something to help support my immune system. I knew natural healing was my only option. I created elderberry syrup and over 4 years later I am still supporting my immune system naturally. I do farmer’s market every weekend and share my story. We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
