A loan helped to buy a pig and 50 kg of feed to nourish it.

Onjaniaina's story

Onjaniaina is 28 years old and married. She has three children with her husband. She lives in a rural village with her family. Raising pigs is the only reliable source of income for her family. Onjaniaina and her spouse have been earning a living with this business for a dozen years. They have been using their own resources as capital. The family needs enough income to pay for their expenses. So Onjaniaina is determined to expand her pig raising. With the consent of her spouse she decided to take loans. She will increase the number of animals to fatten little by little. This loan will be used to buy a pig and 50 kg of feed to nourish it. She will reinforce their feed with biological products like corn, potatoes, cassava and others. She will deliver the animals to the butcher. Onjaniaina plans to invest in raising milk cows.
