Juliette's story

Juliette is a 29 year old woman. She has four children from her partner. The family resides in a rural, but accessible village. Juliette practices agriculture and animal breeding. She takes her experiences from her parents who accustomed her to working in the fields and on the farm. She is proud to be able to help improve the living conditions of her family. Juliette is a borrower at Vahatra. Taking loans gives her capital to expand her business. Thus, the profits will increase and it can better guarantee the family needs. She used the previous loan in growing potatoes. She bought a calf, with her profits. The following loan is necessary for her to buy another ox to add to her herd. Juliette still intends to keep her cattle to help with the work in the fields. The oxen will also be used in transport. Juliette plans to increase her livestock. She is also considering buying other productive land.
