05-Khady Group's story

This group of women was create in June 2020. The women all live in the same district and enjoy very strong bonds of kinship and solidarity. Their main activity is farming.

Because of covid-19, Khady has been chosen to represent the group in the photo. She is married and the mother of 4 children, 2 of whom are girls. She farms produce.

She will use this loan to buy some seeds and bags of fertiliser so that she can grow groundnuts. After the harvest, she will sell her produce at the local market for a good price in the hope of increasing her income.

Part of the the profits she earns will be used to build her savings and part will be used to help her husband take care of the family's needs (food, healthcare, education).
