06_Santhiaba Nord Group's story

This group is composed of 8 women sharing strong solidarity bonds. They live in the same neighborhood and took the opportunity to join the "banc villageois" when it was created in December 2007. Their main business is small trade.
Madam Khady Sène (standing at the right of the picture with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 62 years old. She is married and has four children, including two girls. She sells bags, fabrics and shoes. She has experience in this field because she has been involved in it for several years.
With this loan, she plans to buy lengths of printed broadcloth from Khartoum as well as shoes and bags from Gambia to sell to her customers.
With her profits, she plans to boost her savings, expand her business, cover her needs and help her husband take care of the family.

In this group: Ndèye Khady, Khady Sène, Fatou Kiné, Fatoumata, Salla, Sokhna, Ndeye Maty, Ndeye Fatou
