A loan helped to dig a pond.

Men's story

Aged 39, Men is a brave person and highly respected in her local area. She has been working as a farmer with her spouse for more than five years. Agriculture is the main source of her family income.

Properly prepared fields or plantations technically are the first important things that she needs to do to make the soil fertile and have a high yield for all types of agricultural crops, reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and switching to natural fertilizers instead, because chemical fertilizers are effective in the short term and can make the soil sticky. Water evaporates and the soil quality gradually deteriorates if farmers use it excessively.

Due to the insufficiency of her finances, Men has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to dig a pond. Farming that expects rainfall, or so-called sky farming, is not conducive to Men, whose farmland is far from that irrigation system, which will not be able to supply enough water to the crops.

Men can raise fish in dug ponds, reduce household expenses and have enough water for daily living activities. Her profits will enable her to increase her savings and take care of her needs and those of her children. She sends her thanks to all lenders for helping her family.

This loan is special because:

It provides access to clean, renewable energy sources, like solar and biogas.
