Ruth's story

Ruth is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in the Kawambwa district in Zambia. She is a mobile money agent.

Ruth is requesting a Kiva loan to increase her float for her mobile transaction business. She plans to use the profit she earns to pay school fees for her siblings.

Ruth will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering three hours per week as a member of the CAMFED alumnae association, CAMA, providing mentorship to younger members as they tackle a range of personal and entrepreneurial issues.
