A loan helped to purchase piglets, wheat bran, balanced feed, vitamins, antiparasitics, etc.

Trinidad Monserrate's story

Trinidad Monserrate is 62 years old and married. Her spouse is a farmer. They own their house. They live in Montecristi, where the people make clay figures, specifically pre-Hispanic, and other products which they export to various countries in the world.

At her house, Trinidad Monserrate raises and sells pigs. She tends to the animals every day. When they are grown and have achieved a good weight and size, she sells them to merchants who come to purchase them live.

At first, the social distancing left her without work due to the fear of the virus and various restrictions which prevented the merchants from coming to purchase the pigs. But, currently she is working with the biosafety protocols.

This loan is to purchase piglets, wheat bran, balanced feed, vitamins, antiparasitics, etc. Her dream is to have some pens to continue raising pigs and for her family to be very healthy.
