A loan helped a woman establish a much-needed gluten free bakery in the community.

Regina's story

I'm a central Illinois wife, mom, and entrepreneur. Since I was a little girl, I've loved creating things from scratch for other people to enjoy – meals, decorations, toys and games, events… everything. Even as a kid, I found myself setting up little businesses and selling my wares, and this has continued into adulthood with my baking business. At the same time, I am passionate about feeding my family of six fresh, wholesome food. We grow gardens full of veggies and trees full of fruits and nuts on our property, which we take "straight to the plate" as often as we can. I am also an educator: my background is in elementary education, but currently I teach a couple of community education classes at our local community college on sweet potato dishes and
gluten free baking. I'm a Cubs fan, University of Illinois Fighting Illini fan, and study near-eastern Semitic language when I can fit it in… I find it beautiful!
