A loan helped to buy taro roots (seedlings), banana tubes (seedlings), chemicals, a back pack sprayer, and a chainsaw.

Moli's story

Moli is a 55-year-old married woman with three children. She runs a business selling taro and bananas in her community to earn a living. She has four years of experience in this business. Moli works very hard to please her customers with her fresh taro and bananas. She thought she would earn more income if she planted more bananas and taro, but in order to do this, Moli needs a loan to buy taro roots (seedlings), banana tubes (seedlings), chemicals, a back pack sprayer, and a chainsaw to help her run the business. She even delivers her products to the flea market by using the bus for transportation.

She comes from a family in which no one else works to earn a living, but only her business will help her family needs. Her dream is one day her family will have a great living standard. She became a member of SPBD in 2018 to seek finances for her business. Moli realizes that your support will be a big help for her and her family to develop through financing.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
