Maria Magdalena, age 55, is married. She has three children, two of whom are adult and independent, and one, age 18, who lives at home and attends the university. Her husband is retired. They live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the April 16, 2016 earthquake and now by the Covid 19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.
Maria Magdalena has a grocery store in her house. She sells all types of products, such as rice, sugar, oil, detergents, legumes, vegetables, and fruit. In her family, she and her husband got sick, but they have recovered. Social isolation at first left her without work due to fear of contagion and various restrictions that kept her from selling, but now she is working with bio-security protocols.
This loan is to buy water, flour, sausage, detergents, bread, etc. Her dream is that her business will continue growing and that her family will have good health.
