A loan helped to buy more baking ingredients, storage containers, food wrappers and a bigger baking oven.

Kasanita's story

Consumers usually prefer affordable home-made breads and pastries. This inspired Kasanita to use her baking and she is now running a small bakery business in her village. She is assisted by her husband - who lost his job due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She bakes coconut pie, chocolate cake, traditional Fijian home-made buns, donuts and many more. With her normal baking she does everyday, there has been an increase in number of consumers buying her products. People in her community find it cheap, affordable and fresh, therefore, she is in need of buying more ingredients for her baking with more containers for proper storage of her products.

Despite the hardship that she faces through these tough times of running businesses, the passionate Kasanita will never give up on her skills in baking.
