When I was 19 I almost died in a car accident coming home from a cross country road trip. It was only by the grace of God I walked away from it and it taught me how precious life is. As a result Divine Threads is all about the beauty of life and capturing every precious moment that is available to us.
I am a 1st generation Mobeka born in the United States my parents both worked so hard to get me where I am right now. I have also worked hard and had many mentors and friends who believed in me and have pushed me to be great. This business is my chance to return the faith that they put into me.
I've realized that when a person dreams and chases that dream others realize their dreams and chase them as well. Me chasing my dreams has emboldened people I know to go after routes and avenues that they would not have had the courage to do. My business operates primarily online as a physical location is in the future plans down the line.
I decided to start Divine Threads to be able to lay proof to the idea that I could make my dreams come true. I started also started the company at the worst time in my life mentally, financially, and emotionally because I needed to chase my passion instead of drowning in my sorrow. This business saved my life when i was in a low point it kept me motivated and hungry and believing in myself when I was at my lowest.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I am applying for a lone to help me grow the business and make it possible for me to complete more orders to keep up with the incoming demand. I will make it one way or another but this would help expedite the process.
I will be able to purchase the much needed equipment as well as being able to buy more inventory and part time help to help meet the demands. I have a few people who have contacted me about big orders of garments they want me to produce and this loan will help me get the materials much easier and get the equipment.

We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
