A loan helped to buy chickens and piglets, balanced feed, corn, vitamins, vaccines, de-wormers, etc. for her business raising and selling animals.

Alexi Yadira's story

Alexi Yadira is 43 years old and married. She has two children who are grown and independent. One of them is in college. Her husband is a farmer and cuts hair. They live in a home they own. They live in Portoviejo, a city hit by an earthquake on April 1, 2016, and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. It is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for national consumption.

Alexi has a small farm at her house, where she raises and sells pigs, chickens and hens. She keeps them until they've grown to a good weight. She sells to vendors who come to her to buy. She sells the animals live. Individuals also come to buy.

At the beginning of the quarantine she had no work, because she was afraid of getting sick, and the different restrictions prohibited vendors from coming to buy. Now she is following the biosecurity protocols.

This loan is to buy chickens and piglets, balanced feed, corn, vitamins, vaccines, de-wormers, etc. Alexi's dream is to have bigger pens to continue raising her animals, and that her family enjoy very good health.
