I provide youth development training and mentoring to at-risk youth in the disadvantaged areas of Washington, DC. The business operates online and also in person at community events to engage with the youths as well as community partners, and city leaders. I decided to start this business to help youths overcome barriers or challenges that may interfere with their success. In addition, to set a good example for my daughter on how to beat the odds and achieve their goals.
What is the purpose of this loan?
The purpose of this loan is to buy additional bulk merchandise for the LoveVi brand which promotes positive affirmations including self-care and self-love, which helps generates revenue for the mentoring program. Also, the loan will be used for content branding, marketing including social media ads, office supplies, payroll software upgrade, consulting/accounting services, and community engagement events. Furthermore, the funds will help cover the cost of future expansion which includes hiring speakers and additional mentors. My goal is to generate working capital within the next six months to acquire a commercial space and put my business in the right position to bid on government contracts and apply for additional grants that will help sustain my business.
