A loan helped a member to buy seeds to plant in her peanut field and grow more vegetables.

Nieta Group's story

Oumou is 57 years old, married, and the mother of 3 children, including two boys and one girl. Two of her children go to school. She is the only one pictured in the photo on account of Covid-19. She is holding a tub full of seeds and has a daba [a farm tool similar to a hoe] on her shoulder.

Oumou has been raising peanuts for 15 years so she can help her husband, also a prominent farmer, to take care of the family expenses and see to the well-being of their children.

To ensure a large profit from her harvest, she is seeking assistance from RMCR so she can expand her peanut field by purchasing seeds, inputs, herbicides, and other items.

Her dream for the future is to help her children be successful in life. The challenges she faces is the frequent lack of adequate rainfall.
