María, age 50, lives with her husband and child in the rural community of Huaquer. They have done farm work all their lives.
This is the first time they have requested a loan from Visión Fund Ecuador. The need she wishes to address is the preparation of the soil, agricultural supplies, and labor to plant peas that are available. She does not want to lose time for planting.
The profits from this crop will be used in covering the basic needs of the household and recapitalizing to plant again.
