About 12 years ago, I was looking for a new career path. I happened to injure my back at the time at my current job. I ended up trying acupuncture to facilitate my healing. I was amazed at the relief I got, and I was intrigued by the modality. I soon applied to acupuncture school so that I could learn how to help others. While in school, I was exposed to the concept of community acupuncture, which is a movement to make acupuncture affordable and accessible to everyone, regardless of their income.
In 2014 I opened my clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and became part of a network of hundreds of clinics offering community acupuncture. It was founded to offer natural, drugless therapies to the Jacksonville community. The "Bow" represents strength, precision, and resiliency. It is a symbol of balance and harmony-which we strive to bring to our patient's lives. Our mission is to empower the people of Jacksonville to care for their health in a natural way. We've operated in Jacksonville, FL since 2014, and in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Jacksonville since 2017.
In mid-2021, we are moving to a larger building that I will share with my wife's acupuncture business. As well as several other natural and holistic health modalities. The building is located in the Southside area of Jacksonville. We've always had the mission at The Bow Acupuncture to offer affordable and quality natural health services to the people of Jacksonville, and we look forward to continuing that mission in our new location.

We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
