A loan helped a black-owned, non-profit add computers and tech to expand services.

Lonnie's story

I was born and raised in Chicago, Il moving to my second home in Janesville, WI in 2000. My passion for helping others, most specifically in the areas of racial inequality and injustices, inspired me to develop the Brigham Impact Group Mentoring and Leadership Academy (B.I.G.) a non-profit organization dedicated to serving at-risk youth in Rock County, Wisconsin.

Being raised in the streets of Chicago, I've suffered at the hands of racial inequality and injustices every day of my life. My life experiences have to lead me to become a passionate and respected community activist and advocate for youth minorities as well as adults, who continue to face racial bias and injustices just as I and my Ancestors have faced.
