La Fortaleza Group's story

Maria is 67 years old. She is married and the mother of a son. She works selling bread, ground coffee and ice cream.

She is once again requesting a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy ingredients to prepare seasoned bread and to sell ground coffee and ice cream.

She mentions that with the profits from the business and with the previous financing she managed to improve her living conditions, for which she is very grateful for the support that Fundenuse and Kiva have given her. Her goal is to grow her business.

She belongs to the solidarity group, together with Florentina who sells tortillas and ground coffee, and Luis who sells firewood, wooden posts and sliced ocote [local plant].
