A loan helped to buy 2 piglets, and some cassava, maize, and bran to feed his herds.

Roland's story

Roland is a young, 28-year-old father. He is married and has 2 dependent children. He lives in an enclaved village in a mud brick house. He farms produce and livestock. He also sometimes does odd jobs. One of his most important and profitable activities is pig farming.

He recently joined Vahatra to take out some loans. He wants to get more pigs. This loan would help him do that. He is therefore asking for the lenders' support to buy 2 piglets locally, as well as cassava, maize, and bran to feed his herds. He will sell his pigs in a few months at the local market. He will then buy more.

He plans to build his savings and expects to buy some oxen and a cart in the near future.
