Mirian had a difficult childhood, with only her mother and older sister to raise her. They ensured that she studied so that she could get ahead. As she grew up, she helped her mother in selling food, because the work was sacrificed.
As time passed, she had a little son, who she had to raise on her own; the father abandoned them. Because of this, and the experience she had, she decided to start her own business, selling lunches on the weekends, in the same space as her mother.
She requests a loan to buy tables, chairs, and a "brosteria" in order to expand her business and generate better income, to be able to give her child a better quality of life.
There are only three people in the photo, due to the need to respect distancing and bio-security measures during the worldwide pandemic. On the left, in the red jacket and black shoes is Mirian, the secretary; in the middle, in blue shoes and a grey sweater is Hilda, the president; and on the right, in the black jacket and shoes is Zdenka, the treasurer.
