A loan helped to buy hybrid seeds and fertilizers to use for farming, so she can sell her products and secure funds to educate her children.

Lizah's story

Juhudi Kilimo introduces you to the ever-smiling Lizah, a self-driven woman from Eldama Ravine, Kenya. She is 38 years old, married and blessed with four school-going children. Lizah loves her children and will do anything to prevent them from going to bed with hungry stomachs. Her primary sources of income are milk and crops.

Lizah is very aggressive in her approach to farming and she plans to use this loan to buy hybrid seeds and fertilizers. She plans to sell her quality produce at prices high enough to recover all of her expenses and make a good profit. She is confident that she will be able to repay the loan in time because of her unique customer relationship skills. The returns from the investment will change her life and that of her entire household, as she will use the additional income to raise their standards of living and pay for her children's education.

Lizah loves farming and will be grateful to repay the loan. She thanks her lenders in advance for extending their good will to her.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
