Maria Antonia's story

Maria is a widow and lives with her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. For 23 years she has been raising farm animals such as cattle, pigs and poultry. She learned the trade with the help of her husband and remembers that at first it was not easy but with patience and dedication she has been able to acquire the knowledge necessary to develop her business. She works from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nowadays the entire family is involved in the business.

Maria is applying for a loan because she needs capital to strengthen her business inventory. She will buy animal feed and vitamins for her cattle. She hopes that with the help of the loan her business will grow and generate more income which will help her recover economic stability. She is facing difficulties because of the economic crisis brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Her dream is to have a larger business and earn more income to improve her family’s economic conditions.
