Angela is 18 years old. She is a native of the parish of La Libertad, where she lives in a house that is lent to her family. Her family is formed by her partner and her one-year-old daughter. Angela works as a day laborer, and she cultivates small parcels of land.
She is seeking financing from Kiva to be able to begin with the expenses for raising potatoes. She needs to prepare the land, [apply] compost and fertilizers, and [pay] daily wages.
This is the only means that she and her family know to be able to earn a living. For this reason, she hopes to continue growing her capital in order to plant in greater quantity so that this will be reflected in her income and will improve the quality of life of her family.
