A loan helped to purchase additional pigs and feed.

Maria Antonia's story

Maria Antonia is 43 years-old and lives with her 26 year-old daughter and 2 year-old grandson in Concepcion Batres (in the Department of Usulutan) where she raises pigs. At a very young age, she learned about the care and feeding of pigs from her mother. She doesn't have a set work schedule, but she possesses a lot of experience running this business. She's requesting a loan to buy more cattle and feed so she can raise them until they are ready to be sold. This loan will allow her to maintain her business, and to provide for her family's well-being. Maria also hopes to one day expand her farm so she can continue to support her family's basic needs.
