A loan helped to build her own tapa-making table and to buy mulberry and tapa paper for her business.

Tufui's story

Tufui is a mother of three, and the wife of a technician. They live in their own home near the town area.

Tufui is a member of a group of women in their village who gather once a week in a hall and make tapas. She designs her tapas herself, then sells them at the local market, to random customers in their village and to her relatives overseas. She also prepares soft tapas and sells them in her tapa group, as some of the women prefer to buy soft tapas, not having enough time to prepare their own.

With this loan, she will be able to make her own tapa-making table and create her own group to make tapas at her home. She will also use some of the loan money to buy mulberry and tapa paper for her business.

She and her husband are planning to renovate their house, and they are both working towards it. She plans to buy mulberry and make more tapas and export them overseas to earn a huge amount of money for their renovation plans.
