A loan helped a member to pay for livestock to resell in order to take care of her family.

Sinignesigui Group's story

Diokoun, with her hand on the sheep, appears by herself in the photo due to COVID-19. A Malian, she is 40 years old, illiterate, married, and the mother of five children, aged 2 to 18. Among the children, two boys and two girls are in school, and one is not school-aged.

For over three years, she has been raising sheep, which she buys at the local market to fatten for eight to ten months before reselling them at the same market. Thanks to this business, she manages to cover some family expenses.

To increase her sales in order to earn a lot, she has asked for a loan from RMCR. The market prices of livestock and fodder are excessive. Livestock disease [are a concern] in spite of treatments. Her dream is to cover the costs of schooling and clothing for her children.
