Abelardo, 64, lives in his own home, together with his wife and his 2 children. From Monday to Friday he works as a porter, and in the weekends he works with his wife making clothes. He deals with the tracing and cutting of the bulk fabrics in accordance with the measurements of the garments, and his wife makes them so that they remain uniform. Their workshop is on the second floor of their home, in a favorable spot, where they work late into the night. His greatest joy is that he is doing this work, next to his lifelong parter, together and thanks to constant work, they have gotten their workshop off the ground. Currently their eldest daughter is also working with them; although he says that the greatest difficulty is that still they have not succeeded in doing the finishings of the sleeves and collars of the garments, because they don't have the machine for this job, but in the future they are thinking of buying themselves a coverstitch machine, to finish off sleeves and collars, and in this way they hope to earn more profits. It is the twelfth loan that he has had with MFP and he knows that the money will be very beneficial for improving his working capital, and also he is feeling very satisfied with the performance of the members of the group, because they are people who are responsible with their businesses. Abelardo has planned to invest the requested money on the repair of his sewing machine, and he also wants to buy some accessories, in order to continue making his garments without any worry.
