Magdalena's story

Magdalena B. is from the village of Gampis, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. She is 57 years old, married and has 3 adult-aged children. To make a living, Magdalena owns and operates a business venture in the food sector, running a fish selling business. Magdalena has been engaged in her business for 23 years and earns approximately 7,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2008, Magdalena joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Magdalena has successfully repaid a previous loan of 5,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used as additional capital for her business. Magdalena is requesting a new loan of 8,000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional inventory and as working capital. This loan will be the 3rd loan taken out by Magdalena from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
