A loan helped to purchase fertilizers.

Leonela Del Carmen's story

Leonela lives in the small town of La Guadalupe with her family. She makes a living as a farmer, working with livestock and selling vegetables, which is her main source of income.

She harvests high quality yucca as she takes care of it well to sell it at an excellent price.

She is very responsible with her crops and likes taking great care of them.

She is requesting a loan to purchase fertilizer and compost for her crops in order to achieve good production.

She is very satisfied with the kindness and fair treatment she has received from Prisma and Kiva.

She is very grateful for the support she has received.

This photograph was taken at her business where she sells vegetables.

Her dream is to have good production.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
