Josefa arrived from her birthplace, Cuzco, 5 years ago - filled with hopes and dreams of success. When she arrived in Lima, she started selling chicken broth on the street - a job that carried considerable risks. With some small savings and financial help from her husband, she was able to start a business selling groceries at a stall that she rented in a market. She would buy produce such as rice, sugar, and noodles and sell these and other products. Gradually, the number of customers she had grew and her business, which she has given the name “SEÑOR D. HUANCA”, is going well.

With her earnings and profits, Josefa has managed to buy a piece of land, which she considers her greatest achievement because it has given her the potential to proviD. her children with a good education in a good school. Later on, she would like to finish building her house and hopes her children will secure professional jobs. In terms of her own business, Josefa wants to have a 'minimarket' (a small supermarket) where she can sell a whole range of different products, such as presents, food, and drinks. She wants to set up this business in her own home. She is sure she will be able to fulfil her dream. The loan she has requested will be used to pay for the groceries that she needs. The group to which she belongs, “L. HERMANDAD”, comprises 11 members, all of whom are hardworking and determined to succeed.
