A loan helped a young Hispanic entrepreneur expand his business.

Will's story

I was born and raised in Waco, Texas. A small town which has recently flourished with national attraction and tourism. I am an accomplished Graphic Designer, artist, muralist, photographer, and storyteller; my pride in my Hispanic culture is clearly displayed in my work through these various mediums. My motivation is to continue to educate, showcase, and celebrate my culture with our community and audience beyond. One of those ways happens to be one of my favorites, coffee. I am co-owner of Kurbside Coffee. In 2018 Kurbside started with a couple of tables, a tent, a small espresso set up at our local farmer's market. Our idea was to share and celebrate our Hispanic heritage in every cup of coffee we make. Our crowd quickly grew as we introduced our specialty coffees infused with Mexican flavors. It is truly a joy to see our community growing and evolving in becoming more diverse. Besides our local audience, my goal is to grow this business into a replicable model that can serve in other communities to serve coffee with the same purpose and passion.
