Zainab's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 27-year-old Zainab from Aberdeen branch. She is married with a 9-year-old child who is currently attending school. She started this business because she wants to take care of her family.

Zainab runs a retail table business and sells food stuffs and other assorted items to her customers around the community. Her other source of income is from her husband. She has been in this business for 5 years. Zainab says her greatest challenge is sometimes business is slow and prices too expensive.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase food stuffs and other assorted items to increase her business. Zainab says that the extra income from this loan will help her to take care of her family and to increase her business. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale.
