A loan helped sewing machine, thread.

Nelson Otton's story

Nelson is 21 years old and lives in Orquídeas de Guayaquil (an urban area that was originally named Orquídeas for the abundance of these flowers, orchids). Nelson used to work in a company but since they laid him off, he decided to invest his severance pay in buying sewing machines to work together with his wife.

Little by little and with effort and dedication, they were both able to sew the clothes and deliver them to different places. He starts work very early with his wife and now two relatives help them sew clothes. They sell the clothes for $1.20, $1.50 and the pants for $1.80.

He wants to buy an industrial sewing machine with the loan and thread to make more clothes. He wants to expand his shop in the future.
