A loan helped to buy raw materials for her craft business and mulberry for her tapa making.

Losili's story

Losili is 29 years old, single, and has one child. They live with her parents. Losili helps her mother in running a craft business, which includes making kiekie and tapa. Together, they join 10 other women in their village for tapa making, which only occurs once in a week. They make more than one tapa in different sizes. They then spend the rest of their weekdays in preparing their soft tapas and making kiekie mainly from hibiscus. These businesses are the primary source of income for their daily living expenses.

Losili requested a loan from SPBD, which she will use to buy materials for making kiekie and mulberry for making tapa. She will also use some of the money to help her mother with her younger sibling's school entrance fees. Her dream is to build a secured financial future for her son.
