A loan helped regenerative farm to purchase brewing equipment for a craft nano-brewery using our estate-grown hops.

Charles's story

I am passionate about regenerative farming practices and sustainability. I am an advocate for local food systems and a farm-to-table approach. I am enthusiastic about creating a community that involves growing and preparing food locally and focusing on organic, no-till agriculture. I grew up in a progressive and rural farming community that is centered around local food. My background as a farmer has provided me with the foundation needed to succeed as an entrepreneur in the farm-brewery movement. I have mastered a set of skills from my farming background that will be essential for me to utilize in my new business. My motivation to start this nano-brewery stems from workshops that have taken place on my farm. These workshops have brought many members of my community together, under the principles of sustainability and local food. These workshops have been the driving factor for me to embark on this new entrepreneurial endeavor. The nano-brewery will continue to align my community with these values.
