A loan helped buy meat, chicken, bananas and coal to increase the range of food she sells.

Luisa Amanda's story

Luisa, a mother of three, is 44 years old. She is a hard working woman and wants to be able to help her children. She sells the fried food she makes every afternoon just outside her home, where she displays fried chicken, roast, meat, enchiladas and vegetable slices on a table beneath a pergola. She started the business a few years ago to help her family meet water, power and food expenses as everything is very dear and her husband's salary wasn't enough. She will use the loan to buy more meat, chicken and vegetables to make more fried food, because sometimes due to low sales she doesn't sell all the food and it goes to waste so she needs more capital to meet the demand in her small food stand. She is happy because in the past she has managed to use the loans to invest.
