A loan helped a member buy clay and firewood wholesale to produce bricks.

Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

The group was formed with the aim of the personal growth and improved living standard of its members, through their joint effort and supportive work to each other. To achieve this goal, the group joined the Poverty Elimination Program.

One of the group’s members, Lidia, helps support her home making and selling bricks in a small brick factory; as she says, her work is modest and hard. Nevertheless she is always looking for a way to continue improving, since she wants to provide her family with the best. Lidia is asking for this loan to purchase clay and firewood wholesale, to continue the brick production and meet her customer’s demand.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a joint loan. A group photo was not shot to avoid crowding people, because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
