Zuleiha's story

Zuleiha is 21-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother and siblings in the Bole District of Ghana. She sells cereals and grains.

Zuleiha used previous Kiva loans to launch and sustain her business and reinvested those profits into the business. Now, she is requesting another loan to purchase her stock in larger quantities to increase her profit margin. She plans to use her profits to support her family’s basic needs.

Zuleiha will repay her ‘social interest’ on this loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in schools. She will cover topics such as my rights my choices, choosing your career path and active citizenship, etc.

Zuleiha’s dream is to successfully graduate from her tertiary education.
