A loan helped a black women owned bakery to remain open and running.

Kelsey's story

I am a 26 year old black woman from the poverty stricken neighborhood of Adamsville in Atlanta, GA. My dream was to open a bakery so that I can use my desserts to see others smile! I wanted to grow my business so that I have the funds to give to the poor, pour into my community, host classes and baking camps for young girls to have a safe outlet where they learn useful skills, and to most importantly show young little black girls that they are MORE than where they come from. I want to be an example. It is my duty to prove that with hard work, consistency, passion, and being kind, you can be successful! My bakery is my dream and my life.
