The members of Las Alondras are positive and tenacious women. Carmen is one of them. She started her business several years ago. She works in a program called “Wawa Wasi”, where she takes care of children between the ages of six months and two years old.
Also, in the evenings she sells fast food like “salchipapas” (fried potato and sausages) and hamburgers. This allows her to have greater income for the household expenses. In the future she would like to have an easier business. She wants one where she does not have so spend a lot of time because she has a bone illness.
The members are grateful for and value the support given them through this means and pledge to repay in a timely fashion.
