A loan helped to increase float for mobile money transactions she offers to others.

Olive's story

Olive is an ambitious, refugee entrepreneur operating in one of Rwanda's refugee camps. She started really small, using her savings from her home country, Congo. She invested in a small grocery store but as of today, she has expanded to two locations.

She runs the grocery store but she has also become a bank agent. She is one of the agents that helps AEC clients pay their monthly loan installments.

She is well known in the camp for running the most welcoming grocery store. The previous loans with Kiva have helped her evolve from a small grocery store to two grocery stores and an agency. Olive would like another loan to increase float for her money transactions as the bank agent so that she can satisfy the increasing demand.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees launch businesses to rebuild their lives.
