A loan helped a Black owned business continue despite the hardships due to COVID-19 crisis.

Juma's story

At the age of 23, I was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for a number of drugs that weighed less than a half-bar of soap. Refusing to believe I was worthless, I used the time to better myself. I've written multiple novels and screenplays along with designing C.H.A.O.S. (Creating History Amongst Our Society) clothing line, After serving 19 years, I was released early due to a change in the law. I've been home for 18 months, I have had book release events, and I recently opened C.H.A.O.S. Clothing store. My son was 9 months old when I was arrested. He's now 21. I have to show him that he has the ability to achieve greatness, no matter the odds.
