A loan helped to purchase portland cement and tools to manufacture creative pot plants to better provide for her customers and increase her revenue.

Vanessa's story

Vanessa lives in an urban area situated about 10 minutes drive to Port Vila city. Her community is quite large with 50% of its population as expatriates. She is 30 years of age, lives with her partner and son of 6 years old in their own home.

Vanessa has requested a loan to purchase portland cement and tools to manufacture creative pot plants which she can sell to her valuable customers. She uses Facebook to advertise her products and it has helped her massively. Vanessa just started doing pot plants a few months back, she is self taught through watching YouTube videos. With the revenue earned, she will use to expand her business which will help support her families through her child's education. She dreams of becoming one of the largest pot plant suppliers in Port Vila. In due course, she would like to open a storefront so she can sell her pot plants to locals and tourists that pass by. This is Vanessa's second loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She has faithfully repaid her previous loan on time. Vanessa feels empowered to expand her business and be a successful entrepreneur.
