A loan helped to buy compost and fertilizers.

Elvin's story

He lives in the town of Moriah Centro Yamales with his family. He is a farmer growing coffee and raising livestock, having 8 cows and 15 calves. This is how he makes his main income.

He grows good quality corn and coffee because he he takes good care of it, which allows him to sell it at an excellent price.

He is very responsible with his crops. He likes to give them excellent maintenance.

He applies for a loan to buy fertilizers and compost for his crops and thus achieve a very good yield.

He is very happy with the kindness and good treatment he received from both Prisma and Kiva.

He is very grateful for the support received. His dream is to have a good harvest.

Trojes, Honduras, October 2020.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
