Esther's story

Esther is a 70-year-old widow, who has nine children, eight of whom are autonomous. Despite her age, she remains active, raising pigs and farming. She is one of Vahatra's good partners. The loans she takes out are used as financial capital.

Since the partnership began, she has been able to build up her activities more. She raised pigs with the previous loan and her profits have been used to grow potatoes. She needs this loan to carry on raising pigs. She is planning to buy four local-race pigs, 500 kilos of cassava and 400 kilos of bran. She hopes for lender support and is intending to buy a cow with her profits.

Esther est âgée de 70 ans. Elle est veuve. Elle a neuf enfants dont huit sont autonomes. En dépit de son âge, elle demeure active. Elle s’occupe de l’élevage porcin et de l’agriculture. Elle est un des bons partenaires de Vahatra. Les prêts lui servent de capital financier. Depuis le partenariat, elle a pu développer davantage ses activités. Elle a effectué l’élevage porcin avec le prêt précédent. Ses profits ont servis dans la culture de pommes de terre. Elle a besoin de ce prêt pour poursuivre l’élevage porcin. Elle compte acheter 4 porcs de race local, 500 Kg de manioc et 400 Kg de son. Elle espère l’appui des prêteurs. Elle envisage d’acheter une vache avec ses profits.
